ALPHA PHI (Aɸ)

About

At the Iota Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi, we are proud to uphold our core values: generosity, innovation, character, and a lifelong bond of sisterhood. These pillars guide us in everything we do, from supporting one another on campus, to giving back through service and philanthropy!

Each year, we actively support the Alpha Phi Foundation, with a strong focus on raising awareness and funds for women’s heart health! We are equally dedicated to making a difference within our campus and local community through service, leadership, and meaningful involvement!

As Orediggers and Alpha Phis, we are passionate about creating a welcoming, empowering environment where members can grow, lead, and thrive. Our chapter is more than just a sisterhood, it’s a community built on purpose, pride, and a shared commitment to excellence!

deia position statement

The Iota Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi values sisterhood that lasts a lifetime, the value of scholarship, service performed hand and hand and heart to heart, the pioneering of leadership, the bond of loyalty, and high expectations for character development. Members of Alpha Phi are neither selected nor rejected based upon age, religion, individual political affiliation, race, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability. Membership in Alpha Phi is open to any individual who identifies as a woman by the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The Iota Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi strives to form this unique sisterhood, which is rooted in our pillars but strengthened in the relationships built, through the opportunity of each potential new member going through formal recruitment.

SIGNATURE PHILANTHROPIES

Held every fall, the Red Dress Gala features a formal dinner, silent auction, guest speaker on women’s heart health, and other meaningful activities, all to raise funds and awareness for the Alpha Phi Foundation! The Foundation plays a vital role in supporting cutting-edge women’s heart health research, funding life-saving treatments and surgeries, and providing critical resources for early detection and prevention programs.
Heart Health Week: This weeklong initiative combines education and fundraising to promote women’s heart health. Events include Coin Wars, Valentine’s Day boxes crafted by fellow Greek life organizations, CPR training, and themed activities that bring our campus community together in support of a lifesaving cause!
Hoops for Heart: A student-favorite basketball tournament that blends fun and philanthropy! Teams from across campus come together in a little friendly competition, all for a great cause, supporting the Alpha Phi Foundation’s work in heart health research and education.
