Recruitment
Panhellenic chapters recruit for new members during both the Fall and Spring semesters. Formal Recruitment takes place in Fall semester and all chapters participate. Continuous Open Bidding (COB) can take place during both Fall (following Formal Recruitment) and Spring semesters. Participation in COB is up to the chapter’s discretion.

Formal Recruitment
Formal Recruitment is a formalized process for Potential New Members (PNMs) to explore all Panhellenic sororities at Mines. Lasting three days, PNMs attend structured rounds to meet and learn more about the different chapters. Registration for Formal Recruitment is required and will open on July 10th. Registration is free for all Mines students. PNMs are not required to provide letters of recommendation.

Continous Open Bidding (COB)
COB is a less structured, more laid back opportunity to meet chapters. Events are typically held during the Spring semester but may also take place following Formal Recruitment in the Fall semester. Events are held by individual chapters and not all chapters will choose to participate. Individual chapters will announce upcoming COB events as applicable.
